Howto: Miranda's Sleek, Straight Hair

Miranda has the shinny, long, straight brown hair everybody would die for! I look at mine and it's a bush of dead, brownish/grayish curly fluff. So to achieve this gorgeous hair -- it's easier than it looks!

Things You'll Need:
- - One ripe avocado
- - 1 egg white
- - 1 tsp of olive oil
- - shower cap
- - Bumble & Bumble repairing shampoo & conditioner
- - Straightening hair cream
- - Tangle-free hair spray
- - A good brush
- - Frizz cream
- - Blow dryer
- - Round brush
- - Hair Straightener

Step 1: Make the avocado hair mask like the one in this video: click here.

Step 2: Rinse the mask out with cold water and wash your hair with Bumble & Bumble repairing shampoo & conditioner. Even though it's a little pricey, it will help your over heated hair and make it shinny, like Miranda's.

Step 3: Towel-dry your hair lightly. Too much pressure will damage the hair. With a good brush and tangle-free spray, go through the hair gently, removing your knots.

Step 4: Now, go through your tangle-free hair with a frizz-be-gone hair cream and a straightening cream that will keep the hair straight. Check stores like the Bath & Body shop, CVS, and Target for these products.

Step 5: Take a well-made blow dryer and and a big round brush and dry the hair straight. You can air dry it too for healthier results, but blow drying is quicker and it makes it easier to straighten if you blow dry it straight.

Step 6: Last step! Straighten your hair with a straightening iron. Do this slowly and in little bits at a time. The fast you pull that iron through your hair, the more it damages it. Be careful and do this part slowly.

* Don't do this everyday because it could ruin your hair. REMEMBER: the more products you put in, the greasier and dryer your hair may appear. Give your hair a break from the heat, especially during the summer. For the best results, get a trim every 6 weeks for healthy hair and don't color it. I went a whole summer without straightening my hair and it helped! Do what you need to do and you'll look great!

* Miranda's hair is done by professionals to make teen girls feel self conscious and unsure about the way they look. Love the way you are. If you have curls, celebrate them by wearing a pretty flower in your hair. Got straight hair? Braids are cute and never go out of style. Love the way you are and don't try so hard to look like a celeb.
