Miranda's Rockstar Black Nails

If you look closely on Miranda (right) you can see her black nails. A lot of people think that black nails are gothic, emo, etc., but they're actually really cute! Miranda makes them look happy & girly with this bright red shirt and white cami. She also paired it up with black skinny jeans. Accessories: silver bangles and black flats.

Black nail polish is really cute & super cheap. You can buy it at Claire's, Icing, Target, CVS... almost everywhere! You can go on youtube and look for really cute nail designs that require black nail polish. It's a great color to add to your nail polish collection and Miranda wears it almost all the time!

A really cute Miranda inspired nail idea:
1. Take your black nail polish and paint your nails.
2. Glue on rhinestones and paint a sparkly clear coat over it.
3. In a neon paint, write a different letter on each nail spelling out "love". On the thumb, in the same color, draw a small heart! ♥

It makes the dark, gothic color happy and bright!

Howto: Miranda's Sleek, Straight Hair

Miranda has the shinny, long, straight brown hair everybody would die for! I look at mine and it's a bush of dead, brownish/grayish curly fluff. So to achieve this gorgeous hair -- it's easier than it looks!

Things You'll Need:
- - One ripe avocado
- - 1 egg white
- - 1 tsp of olive oil
- - shower cap
- - Bumble & Bumble repairing shampoo & conditioner
- - Straightening hair cream
- - Tangle-free hair spray
- - A good brush
- - Frizz cream
- - Blow dryer
- - Round brush
- - Hair Straightener

Step 1: Make the avocado hair mask like the one in this video: click here.

Step 2: Rinse the mask out with cold water and wash your hair with Bumble & Bumble repairing shampoo & conditioner. Even though it's a little pricey, it will help your over heated hair and make it shinny, like Miranda's.

Step 3: Towel-dry your hair lightly. Too much pressure will damage the hair. With a good brush and tangle-free spray, go through the hair gently, removing your knots.

Step 4: Now, go through your tangle-free hair with a frizz-be-gone hair cream and a straightening cream that will keep the hair straight. Check stores like the Bath & Body shop, CVS, and Target for these products.

Step 5: Take a well-made blow dryer and and a big round brush and dry the hair straight. You can air dry it too for healthier results, but blow drying is quicker and it makes it easier to straighten if you blow dry it straight.

Step 6: Last step! Straighten your hair with a straightening iron. Do this slowly and in little bits at a time. The fast you pull that iron through your hair, the more it damages it. Be careful and do this part slowly.

* Don't do this everyday because it could ruin your hair. REMEMBER: the more products you put in, the greasier and dryer your hair may appear. Give your hair a break from the heat, especially during the summer. For the best results, get a trim every 6 weeks for healthy hair and don't color it. I went a whole summer without straightening my hair and it helped! Do what you need to do and you'll look great!

* Miranda's hair is done by professionals to make teen girls feel self conscious and unsure about the way they look. Love the way you are. If you have curls, celebrate them by wearing a pretty flower in your hair. Got straight hair? Braids are cute and never go out of style. Love the way you are and don't try so hard to look like a celeb.

"About You Know" Music Video Fashion

I don't know about you, but I loved the music video for Miranda's song "About You Know"-- especially the fashion! It's bright, bold and "ah-dorable"!

Watch the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlIUNtQEI_s&feature=avmsc2

It's a great fashion inspiration and you can find these buys almost everywhere-- at a good price!

Outfit #1 Mostly, what you need is a plether jacket, a dress, black leggings, and Converse. You can buy all that at Forever21. For accessories: a double finger ring, cute earrings, and a beanie (hat).

Outfit #2 (left) A checkard dress, plether jacket, high knee socks, sliver Converse, and a beanie.

Miranda's style is pretty simple. Watch the video for more ideas. Her "friends" in the vid also have cute clothes, too :)

Miranda's Hello Kitty Obession

Hello Kitty is sooo cute & Miranda defiantly incorporates her in her signature style! So if you're a Miranda style EW (eternal wannabe), some cute Hello Kitty accesories and shirts are perfect!

Picture Left: Miranda has a cute Hello Kitty bag. You can buy this at the Sanrio store (aka Hello Kitty store), Hottopic or Claire's.

Picture Right: Miranda is showing off her Hello Kitty nails and ring. The ring is actually very expensive, so if you find a better buy, just leave a comment. I really like it and want it.. (I have the matching necklace). A plastic toddler ring won't cut it. Since Hello Kitty is sort of for younger kids, you need to be careful. Go on youtube and search "Hello Kitty nails", or look below at some suggested links:

More Hello Kitty Style Ideas:
- - Forever21 has great deals on Hello Kitty shirts, sweatshirts & accessories.
- - Hottopic sells the "I Love Nerds" collection, I think.
http://www.loungefly.com/Products/Hello_Kitty/index.php << great "Hello" stuff!
- - Stickers, school supplies and braclets are OK, but don't go too crazy. Remember, you might be thought of (and treated) as a little girl.

Who Wore it Better?: Miranda vs. Miley

One coat; two girls = two different looks. Who wore it better? Both girls have similar white winter coats on... Find out who looked better in it!

Miranda Rank: A She wore her coat on top of a cute black dress and black tights- perfect for a cold winter afternoon on the spot! She also tucked white hand warmers under the coat.

Miley Rank: B+ She looked cute, but bundled up too tight! The hand warmers and scarf are a little too much, but the hat looks cute and goes perfectly with that white coat!

Miranda made the coat fancy and girly and Miley gave it a more casual look! Both girls did a great job!

Miranda Polyvore Set

Polyvore is a great site for fashion and outfit combining! Check it out: polyvore.com

These two cute looks are super easy to find. Click here to see where to buy the things in this set!

The first outfit is just a graphic tee paired with a bright blue skirt, a gold necklace and swede black heels.

The second outfit is a simple purple dress, sparkly converse, a sparkly belt, and a black hat. You could accessorize with a silver bracelet and a big necklace.

Have fun with it & enjoy Polyvore :)

Fancy Back-to-School Look

This cute look is great for back-to-school! It's simple, easy to put together and you can find these pieces almost every where! Since purple is Miranda's signature color, you should try a different color like red or green.

Start with a fancy, solid color tee shirt and a ruffly skirt in the same color (try forever21, wet seal, or old navy for both of these pieces). Add a bubbly necklace (you can buy almost exact at Ann Taylor, but since that's expensive, try old navy).

Next, add a black jacket, black knee socks and black heels to finish this outfit off. You could wear this either to school or to a party. This outfit is fancy enough for a party, but casual for school as well! Have fun creating Miranda inspired outfits for back to school!

GoodLuck!

Howto: Miranda's Doggy Jeggings

Miranda defiantly has an original style! The dogs on her jeggings look so cute paired with a lose ripped shirt, short boots, and a cute hat for her music video, "Kissin U". So how can I achieve this look?

Things to Get:
Old, ripped skinny jeans • Dog stickers or pictures • Fabric Glue • Scissors

Step 1: Cut holes all over. Even though Miranda is wearing jeggings, you can still re-create this look on old, worn out skinny jeans! Look at the pic on the left for ideas. The more holes, rips and taters, the better it will look!

Step 2: Glue on your dog stickers or pictures. You can buy these at a craft store, or draw your own. REMEMBER: After you do this, you can't wash the pants anymore, so only wear these on special days!

Wear these pants with a big, lose shirt that hangs off a shoulder and cute, short boot - heels. Accessorize with a black hat, bracelets, and a silver necklace.
